Democracy hangs by a thread and truth is broken. Now for the bad news—I’m writing again. That’s not really the bad news. The bad news is the subject I’m writing about. Truth is broken—democracy is broken—and how to fix it.
“Breaking Truth,” a short political comedy, is out this week—just in time for Thanksgiving table fights. Liberals and progressives will certainly want to open-carry a few copies to family and holiday events.

Who broke truth? And what happened to democracy? I went to great lengths to find answers, all the way to a similar but alternate universe. Right, political satire is the best way to present this story. What we’re living through just can’t be real.
Washington, D.C. is naturally the epicenter of disruption and what’s wrong in the universe—make that both universes. Yes, both cosmoses have a Washington and a Trump—well, sort of.
Newbie is the fresh face among a gaggle of elite Washington journalists. With his unique perspective and their mentoring and support, much is revealed about the failures of American media and the larger struggle to cover an unconventional president backed by extremist factions.
The manuscript is filled with logic, purpose and innovative ideas, plus comedic take-downs of worn-out canards and warmed-over conspiracies. The unavoidable outcome is a choice between celebrating the advanced products of diversity and equality or retreating to a caveman mentality.
