Fabulous Shopping Origination
The plot originated in a dream, make that a daydream about drag queens roiling in cryptocurrency and the Florida conmen they con for control of the operation. Shopping Moon is a legendary tale with Alice in Wonderland-like aliens. They use a spurned Texan as fodder and pretense for their gain, only to make him a galactic star in the process.
The fabulous Shopping Moon saga was so much fun to write and still makes me laugh. Who knew that catty drag queen dialogue with shade would flow so easily? Or that contemporary alien memes are so wrong but rationally correctible – everyone that knows me. The characters, plots, and story arc flowered and flourished for the six weeks it took to finish the screenplay and paperback. Much faster than normal – it must be real! I must be channeling aliens. Now, I’m afraid to look in the closet.
